Trebek Heading Home From Hospital
Alex Trebek, host of ABC’s Jeopardy was hospitalized early this week at Los Angeles’ Cedar-Sinai Medical Center for a minor heart attack.
After a week of testing and observation he’s been giving the opportunity to head back home to rest.
“I thank you all so very much. I’m on the mend, and will be spending Christmas at home with my family,” he added.
Trebek also made a statement saying, “I’m truly overwhelmed by the great show of support and compassion expressed in the past few days to me, my family and my coworkers.”
He also wanted the Jeopardy fan base to know that they wont be seeing any re-runs in light of his absence because of a stockpile of episodes.
I’m truly happy to hear that all went well for Alex and that’s he’s heading home just in time for the holidays.
Nothing would be worse that having to spend Christmas in the hospital, but I guess he should be happy just to be alive.
Trebek has been apart of Jeopardy since 1984 and has won four Emmy Awards for Outstanding Game-Show Host.
