Just as Hillary was riding high on cloud nine after a victorious win in New Hampshire, something like this happens.

Sidney Blumenthal, a former Bill Clinton aid and current Hillary Clinton campaign advisor was arrested 12:30 a.m. on Monday for DWI.

This all came about one day before the New Hampshire presidential primary was to begin.

Nashua cops pulled over the 59 year old Blumenthal for speeding and soon realized that he was drunk.

Cops gave him a field sobriety test after noticing his blood shot eyes and erratic driving at top speeds.

To make matters worse for himself, he decided to refuse to take a Breathalyzer test and shortly after was booked an aggravated DWI charge.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on January 31.
