On Monday, New York’s star third baseman, Alex Rodriquez was served divorce papers by Cynthia Rodriquez, wife of 5 years. This comes as no surprise to the media who as early as last week reported of extramarital affairs between the couple. Some of the “rumors” flying around are alleging that third baseman is having an affair with soon to be divorcee, Madonna. It is also being claimed that Cynthia was having a rendezvous with Leni Kravitz. Not one of these claims has yet been validated, but it does seem to be the driving force behind the divorce.

It is important to note that Alex Rodriquez and Madonna have the same manager, Guy Oseary. On Monday, Madonna stated,

“My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce,” the statement said. “I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez.”

Honestly, I don’t think there’s any truth to the Madonna rumor, but I am a bit worried about the claims that he was messing around with a stripper in 2004. Candice Houlihan, an ex-Centerfold’s stripper is claiming that she had a two-night stand with the Yankees’ star.

On a one-on-one interview, Candice remarked, “A leopard doesn’t change his spots…Good for her; I think she’s doing the smart thing. And she’ll probably get tons of cash.”

Unfortunately, I think that extramarital affairs are rampant in sports these days. We just hear more about them because of the internet society that we live in. I really like Alex Rodriquez and I thought he was one of the “nice guys” in baseball and I just hope that these allegations aren’t true. All I can say now is count your money Alex cause Cynthia is about to get her fair share from you.
