Another Hollywood star has hit an all time low this week and the winner happens to be Shia Labeouf, star of Indiana Jones: Kingdom of The Crystal Skull. On Sunday, the budding young star was involved in a wreck on the corner of La Brea and Fountain in Hollywood. He apparently flipped his Ford truck after colliding with another vehicle. The 22-year was immediately rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he received emergency surgery on his hand. Unfortunately, Mr. Labeouf wasn’t the only one in the car. Alongside him was a woman passenger whose identity at this time isn’t being released.

So what was the cause of this wreck? Well, it seems that Shia was heavily intoxicated at the time of the wreck and consequently was booked for DUI.
Sgt Scott Wolf, of the Los Angeles County Sheriff stated that, “It was immediately apparent to officers responding on the scene that LaBeouf was intoxicated and he was subsequently placed under arrest.”

It seemed like Shia was on the road to superstardom after two blockbuster hits having stared in Transformers and Indiana Jones. But, the way he’s going I don’t see him being any different than all of the other younger actors and actresses who waste away their talent (i.e. Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton).

Shorterly after the wreck, Melissa Kates, the publicist for the actor, said that she expects him to return back to work within a month. I just hope that Shia doesn’t screw his life up by making poor decisions like this one. You have a world of talent and this is no way to display it.
